Drive to Zero Innovation Awards

The Drive to Zero Innovation Awards recognize each year the most promising solutions supporting low‑carbon mobility.

The 2025 edition confirmed the remarkable momentum of an engaged ecosystem, where public authorities, industry players, startups and territories join forces to accelerate the transition.

Editions defined by one key driver: INNOVATION

Beyond the diversity of applications, the 2025 edition highlights a strong conviction: innovation is now one of the most powerful levers for achieving carbon neutrality.

The selected projects stand out for their tangible impact, their ability to be deployed quickly, their ingenuity, and their direct contribution to reducing emissions. They show that performance, efficiency, attractiveness, and sustainability can go hand in hand.

These solutions are true accelerators of the transition, capable of meeting the needs of professionals and users alike while anticipating tomorrow’s mobility practices.

Innovations from recent editions

MANITOU ELECTRIC RETROFIT- 2025

Manitou Electric Retrofit : The first 100% electric retrofit of a high lift telescopic handler, plug & play and without structure modification.

SQUAREMILE - 2025

SquareMile : a digital twin platform that enables stakeholders to quickly and easily explore entirely new multimodal logistics scenarios combining all types of zero‑emission transport modes.

DREEV - 2025

Dreev :  an EDF subsidiary, offers a smart and low‑carbon charging solution. By controlling charging stations based on grid signals and electricity prices, the system reduces consumption peaks, maximizes the use of renewable energy, and generates up to €3,000 in savings per truck per year for the end user.

TERR'MOOV - 2024

Terr’Moov : 100% rural and 100% sustainable mobility The Terr’Moov project aims to create inclusive mobility hubs that are entirely rural and fully sustainable. It is a comprehensive system that coordinates mobility services tailored to rural areas, addressing residents’ needs while leveraging the new opportunities introduced by the Mobility Orientation Law

BIB BATTERIES - 2024

Bib Batteries : Bib is a comprehensive AI‑based solution that extends battery lifespan and minimizes their carbon impact. Bib’s algorithm determines a battery’s residual market value and recommends the best course of action: continue using it, send it for repair if economically viable, repurpose it for second life when possible, or recycle it when necessary.

LEKO MOBILE - 2024

LEKO Mobile : The idea behind this innovation is to turn local buses into tools for measuring biodiversity by equipping them with bioacoustic sensors capable of identifying the species they detect and quantifying their presence.

QINOMIC - 2023

Qinomic (innovation name: Q‑Brain by Qinomic Inside): Q‑Brain aims to decarbonize entire fleets of light commercial vehicles by industrializing the retrofit process, making this transition economically affordable.

OTONOHM - 2023

OTONOHM (innovation name: ototech): Offers a new battery architecture in which each cell is directly connected to the electronics. The algorithm organizes the assembly of the cells so they can directly accept or deliver any voltage, current, or signal.

TAXIRAIL - 2023

TAXIRAIL is a disruptive concept of an autonomous hydrogen‑powered light train that shifts the paradigm by providing an attractive, cost‑efficient service on secondary railway lines, routes that are essential for public service and regional planning but structurally unprofitable.

The 2025 edition confirms the power of innovation in accelerating low‑carbon mobility.
And this is only the beginning.
The next edition is coming soon and already promises even more ambitious solutions.
