Winners of the Drive to Zero 2025 Innovation Awards

The Drive to Zero 2025 Innovation Award ; the first prize dedicated to innovative products and projects for zero-carbon mobility, presented at the Drive to Zero trade show.
This prize distinguishes the winners in 6 categories and 1 grand prizeselected by a panel of experts. This jury is composed of Drive to Zero's institutional partners, all committed to supporting innovation.

THE 7 WINNERS OF THE 2025 INNOVATION AWARDS

GRAND PRIZE

🏆DREEV: Dynamic load management for electric heavy goods vehicles

Dreev, an EDF subsidiary, offers a smart and decarbonized charging solution. By managing charging stations according to network signals and electricity prices, the solution reduces consumption peaks, promotes renewable energy, and generates up to €3,000 in savings per truck per year for the end user.

CATEGORY “BICYCLES & ACTIVE MODES”

🏆 SAFYPOWER - SafiPower connected station for electric bike batteries

SafyPower is the first connected charging station for securing and recharging electric bike batteries. It addresses a dual challenge: the increasing risks associated with lithium batteries (fires, overheating, theft) and the lack of suitable infrastructure. The innovation lies in a turnkey solution: smart lockers (sensors, smoke detection, controlled charging), a mobile app for users, and a dashboard for managers. This unique solution, compatible with all battery brands, centralizes risk management while highlighting environmental impact through automated CSR reports. Recognized for its impact and relevance to mobility challenges, the solution has attracted the attention of Challenges magazine, which featured it in its 2025 ranking of the most promising startups.

CATEGORY “VEHICLE TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION”

🏆 MANITOU GROUP: Manitou Electric Retrofit - First 100% electric retrofit of a high-lift telescopic handler, plug & play and without modification of the structure.

This solution provides an electrical modernization option for existing construction machinery and vehicles, converting them from internal combustion (IC) to electric power. This optimizes their lifespan and economic value while improving their environmental performance, thus contributing to a circular economy. Retrofitting addresses the challenge of existing fleets of heavy and off-road internal combustion machinery reaching the end of their economic, regulatory, or environmental lifespan, while retaining valuable components (chassis, boom). The adaptation offers significant added value, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% and the overall environmental score by 25% over the standard operating cycle, compared to an internal combustion machine.

CATEGORY “MOBILITY AND SUPPORT SERVICES”

🏆 ENTREAUTRE: [board], the universal electric mobility platform designed to quickly meet multiple needs

[board] is a universal, modular, and multi-purpose electric mobility platform designed to quickly adapt to a wide range of uses. Thanks to its adaptable architecture, it enables the rapid development of dedicated solutions, such as vehicles for last-mile logistics or passenger transport. [board] paves the way for a new generation of light, economical, and urban mobility.

CATEGORY “LONG DISTANCE FREIGHT & URBAN LOGISTICS”

🏆 SQUAREMILES - SquareMiles Studio

SquareMiles Studio is a digital twin platform that allows stakeholders to quickly and easily explore entirely new multimodal logistics scenarios combining all types of zero-emission transport, such as walking, cargo bikes, boats, trams, and, of course, electric vans. It rapidly displays the kilometers saved, CO2 emission reductions, and cost savings of these scenarios. Stakeholders can then decide which solutions to implement, minimizing the investment and time associated with the often necessary physical trials.

The other existing solutions on the market operate in silos: optimizing routes for resources (trucks or bicycles or others) that operate independently, and they do not integrate the variety of innovative solutions offered today.

CATEGORY “INFRASTRUCTURES & ENERGY”

🏆 UP&CHARGE - UP'One

UP&CHARGE is a wireless, inductive charging solution designed to meet the specific needs of professional fleets. It is based on a patented smart DC charging technology with 95% efficiency, a power output of 3.7 to 22 kW, and a vehicle-compatible kit that does not void the manufacturer's warranty.

The installation is simple, requiring no major civil engineering work, operational within two hours, and fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Users simply park: charging starts automatically or via the dedicated app, which also allows for remote control, monitoring, and optimization of charging sessions. UP&CHARGE's innovation lies in its ability to combine energy efficiency, ease of use, universal accessibility, and compatibility with future industry requirements (autonomous vehicles, V2G, demand response), all within a French industrialization framework. It is a concrete, cost-effective, and scalable solution to the challenges of large-scale fleet electrification.

CATEGORY “INFRASTRUCTURES & FACILITIES”

🏆 RATP DEV - Mini mobility hubs

The 30 mini-hubs deployed address a triple challenge: connecting different modes of transport, reducing dependence on the individual car, and making sustainable mobility accessible to all, including the most vulnerable groups.

Innovation is based on the synergy of two complementary systems:
  • The 30 mini mobility hubs: lightweight, modular developments with a small land footprint, each comprising a redesigned bus stop, a self-service electric scooter station, and a self-service bicycle station. The network's fleet also includes 2 hydrogen buses and 6 CNG buses.
  • The carpooling service integrated into the bus: a digital and organizational innovation allowing residents of underserved areas to carpool when bus schedules and routes are not suitable.
