Winners of the Drive to Zero Innovation Awards 2024

Discover the winners of the 3rd edition of the Drive to Zero Innovation Award 2025, the first awards dedicated to innovative products and projects for neutral-carbon mobility, presented at the Drive to Zero exhibition. These awards recognise winners across 6 categories and 1 Grand Prize, selected by a panel of experts. This jury is made up of Drive to Zero’s institutional partners, all committed to supporting innovation.

THE 7 WINNERS OF THE 2025 INNOVATION AWARDS

GRAND PRIX

🏆 DREEV: Dynamic charge control for electric heavy goods vehicles

Dreev, a subsidiary of EDF, offers a smart, carbon-free charging solution. By controlling charging stations based on network signals and electricity prices, the solution reduces consumption peaks, promotes renewable energy, and generates savings of up to €3,000 per truck per year for the end user.

“BIKES & ACTIVE MODES” CATEGORY

🏆 SAFYPOWER - SafiPower connected station for electric bicycle batteries

SafyPower is the first connected station for securing and recharging electric bike batteries. It addresses a dual challenge: the growing danger of lithium batteries (fires, overheating, theft) and the lack of suitable infrastructure. The innovation is based on a turnkey solution: smart lockers (sensors, smoke detection, controlled charging), a mobile application for users, and a dashboard for managers. A unique solution, compatible with all battery brands, that centralizes risks while highlighting environmental impact through automated CSR reports. Recognized for its impact and relevance to mobility challenges, the solution has attracted the attention of Challenges magazine, which honored it in its 2025 ranking of the most promising startups.

“VEHICLE TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION” CATEGORY

🏆 MANITOU GROUP: Manitou Electric Retrofit - First 100% electric retrofit of a high-lift telescopic handler, plug & play and without modification of the structure.

Electrical retrofit solution for existing machinery and construction vehicles, converting them from internal combustion (IC) to electric power, optimizing their lifespan and economic value and improving their environmental performance, thus contributing to a circular economy. Retrofitting addresses the problem of existing fleets of internal combustion heavy and off-road machinery reaching the end of their economic, regulatory, or environmental life while retaining a valuable component (chassis, boom). The retrofit offers significant added value. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 40% and the total environmental score by 25%, over the standard duty cycle, compared to an internal combustion machine.

“MOBILITY AND SUPPORT SERVICES” CATEGORY

🏆 ENTREAUTRE: [board], the universal electric mobility platform designed to respond quickly to multiple uses

[board] is a universal, modular, and multi-use electric mobility platform designed to quickly respond to multiple uses. Thanks to its adaptable architecture, it allows for the rapid development of dedicated solutions, such as vehicles for last-mile logistics or passenger transport. [board] paves the way for a new generation of lightweight, economical, and urban mobility.

“LONG DISTANCE FREIGHT & URBAN LOGISTICS” CATEGORY

🏆 SQUAREMILES - SquareMiles Studio

SquareMiles Studio is a digital twin platform that allows stakeholders to quickly and easily explore entirely new multimodal logistics scenarios combining all types of zero-emission means, such as walking, cargo bikes, boats, trams, and, of course, electric vans. It quickly shows the kilometers saved, the CO2 reduction, and the cost savings of these scenarios. Stakeholders can then decide which solutions to implement, limiting the investment and time associated with the physical experiments often required.

Other existing solutions on the market operate in silos: optimizing routes of resources (trucks, bicycles, etc.) operating independently, and they do not integrate the variety of innovative solutions offered today.

“INFRASTRUCTURE & ENERGY” CATEGORY

🏆 UP&CHARGE - UP'One

UP&CHARGE is a wireless, inductive charging solution designed to meet the specific requirements of professional fleets. It uses patented smart DC charging technology with 95% efficiency, a power output of 3.7 to 22 kW, and a vehicle kit that can be adapted without compromising the manufacturer's warranty.

The installation is simple, without major civil engineering, operational in two hours, and fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The user only has to park: the charge starts automatically or via the dedicated application, which also allows remote control, supervision and optimization of recharges. The innovation of UP&CHARGE lies in its ability to combine energy performance, ease of use, universal accessibility and compatibility with future requirements of the sector (autonomous vehicles, V2G, energy reduction), all within a Made in France industrialization logic. It is a concrete, profitable and scalable response to the challenges of the massive electrification of fleets.

“INFRASTRUCTURE & DEVELOPMENTS” CATEGORY

🏆 RATP DEV - Mini-mobility hubs

The 30 mini-hubs deployed respond to a triple challenge: connecting different modes of transport, reducing dependence on private cars, and making sustainable mobility accessible to all, including the most vulnerable groups.
The innovation is based on the synergy of two complementary systems:
  • The 30 mini-mobility hubs: a lightweight, modular, and low-footprint development, combining a restructured bus stop, a self-service electric scooter station, and a self-service bicycle station. The network's fleet also includes two hydrogen-powered buses and six natural gas-powered buses.
  • The carpooling service integrated into the bus: a digital and organizational innovation allowing residents of underserved areas to carpool when bus schedules and routes are inconvenient.

THE 2025 JURORS
